Street Knife: Edged Weapon Awareness Program

Posted: November 8, 2012 by senseimaddog in Events

When: Saturday 1st December 2012 from 12pm to 4pm

Where: The Playhouse, Eccles Road, Chapel-en-le-Frith, SK23 0EZ

Cost: £5 (We only aim to cover the overheads for this event)

Dave Armstrong from the Modern Combatives Group has kindly agreed to present this innovative program which looks at the tactics, methods, ruses and ‘tools’ that a knifer uses on the street to target his victims.

The aim of the session is to provide a working knowledge of how knife assaults actually happen and will include stress drills and scenario training. You will also have the opportunity to explore a variety of counter-knife defences and test their effectiveness given the context of what has been presented.

This is a fantastic opportunity to tap into Dave’s many years of practical experience as a Professional Security Consultant running high level executive protection operations in the UK, Europe and the Middle East.

Kit list: Comfortable training clothing (track suit bottoms, t –shirt & trainers), focus mitts, rubber training knife, safety glasses (strongly advised), water or a sports drink and a light snack.

Numbers are strictly limited so please book & pay early to secure your place.

(You must be aged 18 or over to attend this event)
